opium den spelunking

The Micro, packs a hefty punch, i have tried one..

Congrats on the Micro Terror! (again)
I had one for a while, cant say anything bad about it.
Loud little bugger.

The youtube videos always sounded better than the tones I got from it, but they used more gain than what I prefer.
I know it sounds contradictory; it sounded better for what they were playing, I guess.

Just my personal preference; it didnt wow me or do anything better than what I have already.

I guess "my" basic tone is mostly bridge PAF similar to / ballpark Angus - Bon Scott era AC/DC with a little more treble in the EQ.
Rolling back the guitar volume a bit gets more in the Malcolm range, albeit not with chimey-ish thing the Gretsch pickups bring. Listen to some of his open E chords - that special Malcolm thing is there.

Just couldnt quite get my thing with the Orange, in my limited experience in wringing out the available tones.

That is friggin' groovy- in all the best possible ways.
Cool brotherhood of Strats.

I found an opium den in a guys garage today. Came out with a couple of nearly new Vintage 30s. Now I have my pine 412 completely loaded with V30s. I really like the sound of them. If I get 1 more I could move them all into my full stack instead of Greenbacks. I'm very tempted.
