My 530cc/52 horsepower 1982 Honda XR500R survivor....

I wish that I could fit on a Ducati. I'm like a damn circus bear on a bicycle with those things. Always loved the 916, and if there was a bike other than a Norton Manx that I would want to own, that would be it.

Built in the 60s by Honda a 250cc in line - six engine rapping out 65 H.P. This baby could rev to almost 20,000 RPMs. It was called RC166. Turn up the volume and listen to this thing growl! I nice little bike for running around town.

Playing video games in traffic at 120mph...................................
--- and this is JUST the left bar controls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

add in tons of sensor and automatic computer controlled gizmos like engine cutting..... and even rear wheel spin "speed matching" if you bring the rear tire OFF the ground under heavy braking the engine will kick in and spin the rear wheel to MATCH your forward speed so you dont have the back end KICK out when it comes down..........-- traction control -----slipper clutches etc etc etc ...............
gear boxes that work OPPOSITE of regular street bikes (down is up gear selection and vice versa) ----

I fixed this up for the kids to learn to ride on. It was given to me by a drummer friend because it wouldn't run.

I made a few modifications...extra-low gearing for easy take off, re-jetted for max power, extreme quality, Official (MIJ) Jr. MX tires by IRC, 5mm desert tubes with double rim liners, rim locks front and rear, fully balanced wheel/tire assemblies, intake restrictor removed, self-adjusting chain tensioner adapted from a riding lawnmower, hand-made Delrin swing arm and shock bushings and hand-made chain sliders.
