I had to recontour the neck heel so that my gimp hand can reach high enough for my ring finger & pinky to do their thing at the first couple of frets.

My index finger has regained some motion, but is numb. I have little to no feeling in most of it.
It took a few months, but I can bar across these three pairs of strings with it, using my stump of a thumb behind the neck, and actually make some of the chords I used to play. Others I have to cheat at, with abbreviated and implied chords along with the melody.

Little by little I'm adjusting and adapting what I could not do, into what I CAN do.

Yep, my mishap last July has slowed me down considerably, but hasn't stopped me yet.:dood:

I am sorry to hear you hurt yourself. I hope you get better soon. I have also had accidents but luckily I have been able to recover. I have broken 7 fingers on both of my hands. Even some varied times the same finger. Basically playing soccer and having a bicycle accident. The only downside is that one has been a bit short.

Got DOT in rotation again. It was nakid & had this LP pick guard laying around. Wanted a guitar to sound exactly like a reg guitar for strumming. Many pickups been in & out of this thing. Went back to Epi stocks. They are clear & function well in the articulation of chords. Kinda cool with the guitar up on the body strumming away, plugged in or not. DOT 800.jpg
