Question so I don't blow something up

I have a JOYO bantamp ZOMBIE

I have a Marshall DSL100H

Question is, could I run the JOYO as if it were a dist./OD pedal?

What I want are controls. I've plugged into the JOYO, from it's SEND to the Marshall's RETURN....and it's cool and all, but it removes all volume and tone controls, it's either loud af or it's off...no tone or gain controls either

Surely I wouldn't want to run from the speaker output of the JOYO into anything other than.....a speaker, right? I wouldn't want to plug that into, say, the Marshall's RETURN or it's input...right?..

What about the JOYO's SEND to the DSL input?....even if that were safe, I would still be removing the controls from the JOYO, and that defeats the purpose here.

Halp me, Obi-wans....you're my only hope

You don't want to add power amp output to any kind of low level line input. I believe Mitch is running stereo pedal outputs to the input of 2 amps. You can do this with an effects loop as well by splitting the signal on the board and routing the second into the effects in on another amp, but it can be really noisy unless you have a special box.

Yeah, don't do that.
I really don't want to lol
Think I'd be fixin' to buy a new Marshall if I did. The JOYO, on the other hand is cheap. I even tried to give it away once, but it came back to me a month later. Dunno why the guy didn't like it, but it's a brutal little bastard. I dig it. I just want it to be BIGGER lol..the point is, I don't mind much if I fry the JOYO, but I want no harm to befall my Marshall.

So you're confirming my fears that there's not much more that I can SAFELY do without blowing something up?

I run my board all up front and have my TC Electronics H.O.F. at the end. This has stereo output, so I can run one into the front of my 50 watt and the other into the front of my 100 watt. It adds a tiny bit of line hum when I do this, but it sounds really cool.

Well I'm SOL as far as pedals and shizz...I have a BOSS TU-3, and a Friedman BE OD. And that's it. Well, occasionally a little bit of Crybaby too, but that's quite literally it. None of which have stereo outputs....so....I guess my idea won't work

You can run the Joyo send, but NOT the speaker out.
The speaker out MUST go only to a speaker.

Can I run the send from the joyo into the input of the DSL, out of curiosity?

It wouldn't help me gain controls of the Joyo back, but I would then at least be able to shape the sound using the Marshall's controls
