I don't believe in the paranormal. Never have, probably never will. I believe there are things that can't be explained because we are infants in the realms of understanding the Universe. Aliens, I believe most likely exist based on law of averages. Have they visited the Earth? No clue.
However, I do recall one instance that comes closest to a paranormal experience I've ever had. My family and I were living in a duplex that was set up for Holiday Rentals and had a room between the two halves that were locked from each side. You could in essence unlock the two doors and both sides become one big hallway and connected. But the two doors are each locked from the separate apartment side.
One evening I was working on a project model at my desk in the living room. To my right, was the hallway down to the door I mention above. My family, were sitting on the couch behind me, their view was 180 from the hallway path. Hard to explain. At some point, I recall in my peripheral vision a small child dressed in red, with blonde hair standing to my right at the entrance to the hallway, next to the couch. I thought nothing of it, just thought it was one of my kids. A few minutes go by and my wife sits up straight, has a drained white face and says, "WAIT! Who was just standing there? All the kids are right here?!" She says she saw a small child in red with blonde hair in her peripheral vision standing near the hallway. Things got really tense when I said i saw the same thing. I immediately checked the door between the two duplex apartments and it was locked on my side. All my kids were either on the floor in front of my wife, or next to her on the couch, opposite of the hallway.
To this day, we still can't explain it, but I still feel there's got to be a logical explanation.
