proper use of a Fender STRAT Volume knob

I kinda always secretly wanted one of these (Gibson U2)

Set-neck super-strat thing with a corrected volume knob placement.

This tone is the first - in many years - that has really shaken me up. Anything less than this and I am instantly bored.

"I have two guitars I use fixed. One is an Epiphone Les Paul and the other is an LTD CC 1000. Both are original. They have a slightly different tone, which gives me more possibilities in terms of sound. The amp I use is the same one I have used for almost 20 years. I have a Marshall JMP 1 preamp, Marshall JFX 1 processor, and a Marshall EL34 50/50 end stage. When playing live, I use Marshall Lead 1960 4x12 cabinets. In the studio I do not use speakers, but take the line signal from JMP, right in the table...." - Tore Moren

I rest my hand on the bridge -- so I bump the vol knob from time to time ....to time ---and time.....

I also dont "ride" the volume--- I really have absolutely no reason to -- I can go for hours and not even adjust the knobs at all I set em where my taste rides for that day or session and thats that ........not realy a fidgety person

most the basses are on 10 ..........and have been --- who adjusts knobs on a bass
VOL up---Tone off------ go BOOM

I only rest my hand on the bridge with my Gibsons, Gretsch, and Tele. The position of the bridge on a Strat is set back further, and I find my hand is positioned more naturally at the neck pickup. For playing rhythm, I have no problems at all. If I need to anchor my hand at all, I will put my ring finger and pinky on the pickguard. I will also use the volume knob as an anchor if I'm using while soloing or messing around.
