No......................Way.
Yeah, I bought a 57 LP Jr. for $90.00. Some people have all the luck.
Some days are just lucky days.
'58 is the unthinkably killer year. None better.

I'm going to have to start hitting yard sales again. A friend of mine grabbed two Peavey amps today for $45.00. Both from the early eighties. A Jazz 120 something or another with two 12" speakers and a combo bass amp. Says they are louder than hell.

We are all different...which is cool. My wife and I derive great satisfaction from our humanitarian projects, like drilling fresh water wells in Chackaraseca, Nicaragua, or just helping out random folks.... :)

That's what we spend the most doing.
Good for you guys. Many don't or can't. Oh we give to many charities, don't get me wrong. Just that I personally would keep a 1958 Gibby instead of selling it then using the money to buy another!! :D you are a good dude!

Thank you kindly...I hope that's what people would say about me when I am gone.

Mom loved that '58 Les Paul, but she felt like it was gathering dust and it should go to someone who would cherish it. She's making a similar decision regarding her 1979 Les Paul Custom.

I brokered the deal for her free of commission, just ensuring she didn't get hosed.

They were able to make improvements to the farm, help out grandkids, make some "fun purchases" and establish a GLI fund, so everyone was a winner.
