Will I buy it? Probably............

The seller requests about 1000Usd but it is negotiable, he lives about: 200km. from me

Have been serviced just over 2 years ago and very little used since then.
Stood in a studio most of his life.

Buy it... my friend keeps texting me his JCM800 for sale..& everybody needs one !! Only thing..if you aren't going t open it up & use it in its intended zone, sorta overkill,

I am on a Marshall kick again & slowly day by day, the volume goes up & up cause..thats where the mojo lives...now its 4x12's cranked all day again.,.ya just can't help it..more is better in this case....but oh the tone.. with the tubes cooking..its a religous experience that is hard to come down from & play small amps again. The fullness & lead line sustain & sing.

Look at the insides before you buy it.
If you can't look at the insides, don't buy it.
$1000 is a good price but only if it's good inside.
If it's been all messed around with inside, don't buy it.

I had a 2205 for a couple of years.

The high input was not very close to single channel 800’s.

The low input, when turned waaaay up, was pretty good.

I mostly used it as a bass amp on the low input turned way up.

Play it, let your ears decide.

addendum: mine needed tech attention to repair previous “work.”

edit: mine was a 1983 year model 2205

A lot of people seem to think of a JCM800 as the model 2203 & 2204 master volume amps, but JCM800 was a "series" of amps featuring several different models. Among these were the four hole 1987 & 1959 models, the 2203 & 2204 master volume amps & also amps like the aforementioned mentioned 2205, 2210 & the combo 4210 models.
These models (2210, 2205, 4210) differ circuit-wise from the other models. Known as the "split channel" amps. A single input & footswitchable channel selection. The tone stack is plate driven, rather than the typical Marshall cathode follower driven tone stack. Clipping diodes are employed in the higher gain channel & of course, these amps feature reverb. There were a couple of variants of these amps, I think '87 would be the second. Would be a nice addition to your arsenal of Marshalls. Cheers
