I have Britbox and they have just added a 70s TV show called World In Action.
Hearing the theme again after so many years brought back a flood of memories.
Prog Rock and Jazz seemed to rule the TV themes in the UK for a while.

For the ageing Brits amongst us.

World in Action (intro/end).

Weekend World

The Money Programme

The Old Grey Whistle Test

Oh the comedys I posted themes sucked-- just the shows were funny ------ I should have read the rules .........sorry, so sorry

If you want sucks, this is a good version of the worst theme tune ever. It still makes most of us want to scream all these years later...

I got Britbox at the start of Lockdown.
William Hartnell was sometimes like pulling teeth.
Patrick Troughton is, sadly, mostly missing.
Jon Pertwee was my first Doctor, and I loved watching those again.
I am now just reaching the Tom Baker years.

I started watching the last story story with William Hartnell, Pat Troughton will probably always be the one I remember most. I hated the Jon Pertwee years, loved Tom Baker.

Arena Theme, AKA Another Green World (because this was my first Brian Eno)

The Tomorrow People (because it freaked me out)

Vision On (for deaf children), because it was the maddest kids programme ever.

The Prisoner (Bonkers as anything).

And some of my early American favourites.

Hill Street Blues

Taxi

Mary Tyler Moore Show

Rhoda (it took me years to realise Brenda is Marge Simpson)

Puddleglum is my favorite Dr. Who - that is who we are on at the moment too.
