Awesome! Bravo Sir, your time was well spent, with the exception of spending it on those that did not appreciate your effort - but who knew!
I am quite sure that his contributions to the MF are beneficial to more than just the members there.

Just Google "why does my jcm2000 bias drift?"....and thread after thread about the subject at the MF pop up, and AMS is in all of them, doing his best to help out.

That's now out there for members and non members alike who are searching for answers. I'm sure there are a lot of people who appreciate that. Even if we never get to hear from them.

You know, when Mitch recruited me he told me that every member would send me a hundred bucks when we hit 500 members. Are we still good with this?

Dude,

I'll hook you up.

I still have a Monopoly game with a lot more than that!

I have a bunch of those $500.00 Monopoly bills. Those were the bright orange ones.

I'll send you one of those..

That way, you can say, "Smitty sent me both a $500.00 bill AND an Orange!"

You really think that a virus cares about politics?
I think that was the point I was trying to make.
What I wanted to see: was healing this world.

What good news is there today about healing this planet? I wanna hear it.
There has been some good news.
One just has to look for the positive among the negative.
Due to the planet wide quarantine, pollution levels have gone down.
The planet IS healing.

Even Fox news admits it...

And for the same reasons, the wife & I haven't gone out to bars & restaurants in around three months.
An activity we used to do several times a week.
We've saved money and I've dropped between 15 & 20lbs by not eating crap bar food.

To me that's positive.
It's all perspective.

:dood:

And the negativity that drove you away from them, brought you to us.
Another positive thing.

Well Pluck Me!
He has really gone and done it.
This was the post that seemingly angered the Admin so much that @Amp Mad Scientist was blocked from his own thread:

AMS.JPG
I know from experience AMS can really speak his mind at times.
But nothing innocuous here, just verifiable information. If there were any posts after that, they have been expunged from the record (including in quotations).
But this just speaks of an agenda that some of us are on the wrong side of.
Tin foil hat = OK
Medical research = Liberal Communist
Madfinger is still there trying to straighten the record on Hydroxychloroquine Sulphate.
God help them is a vaccine is found.
They'll hate that (and there is already a thread to that effect started by Ace Frehley!).

Just a pity you didn't check your spelling before you left. :2Thumbs:

I won't quote everyone here re: Marshall forum, Politics, Covid, or even $500, recording, made up words and dogs.

Just that for summary so far.

NOW as for AMPMAD. I really hate the message this thread brings re: Marshall forum and what's going on there.
I used to go there and learned a great deal from him and Neikeel, IvanH and a few other good guys. I totally am in debt to those fellas and a few over here and a few who have left or been banned from here, to what knowledge I have learned and started my understanding of amps because of their unselfish time to teach me. So when I hear selfish and or sh'nannigan's type stuff has increased, I say grrrrr. Glad Ampmad is here.

There were. Several, actually lol

AMS began to see the :poo:show that his thread spawned, and requested to have his thread deleted.

When the mods did not remove his thread, he tried to get it nuked by bombarding the thread with banned subjects, which was a clever strategy. But it didn't work, they just deleted his posts and locked him out of his own thread.

Understandably, this probably perturbed the scientist. But I have to tip my hat to the mods there as well. They're the only 2 left, and they've got a big forum to deal with. They are both good dudes, and allow quite a bit of BS to slide. I've seen a lot of people banned from the MF, but I have also observed that they were given every bit of leeway and then some.

Many forums like to ban people just because you say you don't dig this pedal or that brand of strings or whatever. I feel like the mods at the MF are pretty fair.

Part of the thing with the MF, I think, is that it's growing exponentially.

Over the years there have been certain cliques there. People come, get comfortable, then one day there's a bunch of new guys and all the old buddies have moved on.

Everyone, of course, with their own opinions about everything. Clashes are an inevitable reality of people in numbers. And a lot of people are just dicks, too. Hiding behind the internet, it's easy to just say whatever you damn well please, and forget that manners count on forums, too.

The way I'm looking at it is: Their loss/ our gain.

I'll take an intelligent member with 40+ years of expierence, we are fortunate.

AMS is an individual, with his own ideas and opinions, and I for one, say bring it on AMS.

Only an idiot can play the p.c. forum games, sooner or later the need to express ones ideas surfaces. If, in the course of expressing myself I cross lines, well then call the mods.

I will happily comply if asked in a respectful manner without personal attacks.

Sure, I've got no problem with him lol
He does what he can to help, and he can be funny as hell too!

But, you can't just quit the MF, that's not how it works...may not post there anymore, but you know he'll be there lol. (Same way I know a bunch of you guys are too! lol)

I have been drawn into that game too once.
One of the Staff Members started an Anti-Vax thread.
Now for a start that is a dodgy thing for Forum Staff to do.
I tried to point out a reasonable argument in favour of vaccination, but after a while my blood started to boil and I said some things I regretted.
I did make an open apology to the guy.
Since then I have tended to keep myself out of these arguments.
You can see pretty quickly when you are onto a loser :BH:, and I'm sure the other guy feels the same.
But that COVID thread was, and still is, ridiculous.
Conspiracy is accepted as science.
The real science is sneered at.

It's so much calmer over here :victoire:

Piece said.
I'll shut up. :io:

I do remember that thread. I had similar thoughts as yourself...kinda odd, right?

I like it here too, I'm a laid back kinda guy and this is a laid back kinda place!

Sometimes unconventional wisdom is called for in unconventional times. When I said it was controversial, I meant not the norm, but is not designed to cause confusion or division, quite the opposite, I feel it's the most helpful and clarifying video I've seen on the topic. I am not here to cause division or distress and fling out ideas just to see if they stick or not. I am a deep researcher and feel the information I have to offer, is not only valuable, but essential if you want to at least consider the alternative to the official pandemic story.

Some eminently reasonable and true things, are viewed generally by the public as controversial and hot topics. I promise you to never present ideas just to be inflammatory, but to be enlightening. I see information as helpful, unless it's false propaganda and I stopped watching TV for 25 years to avoid false propaganda, so I think I share perhaps HIGHER standards of information, but at the same time, I would assume they are not the same standards.

I dislike politics very much, and relate to the issues of the day, using normal typical reasoning, so although I hate politics, when I talk about it, you will not tend to hear me promote talking points like from the official story, but I prefer doing my own thinking and analysis. Here's what I have against politics, they essentially ask us to choose the lessor of two evils, when as a good person, I want to chose the best of all virtues.

Lastly, I live for causes bigger than myself. I might be considered a bit of a monk or a spiritually enlightened one, an empath, and with a strong desire, to help change the world for the better. I am against our petrochemical domination, AKA pollution nightmare and the basis for our modern economy. But it should not be.

Thanks everyone for the info, and welcome and the Marshall forum backdrop info. Much appreciated. I also am an inventor, perhaps I'll share some about that too. But my ideas are not yet built, just in design stage. However, every good thing has to start somewhere. Now to read this page. hehe

Oops, part of that was for my other topic. I got confusing which place is where. Sorry! I think AMS is the best. I can see that Marshall forum will not be the same after his departure. He seems a bit like Joe Rogan on youtube. DID YOU SEE THAT? He got paid serious millions to quit youtube and go with Spotify! An online music streaming app, but I hear they are going to add video just for him.

When you are a great content provider, people watch and listen. Bravo AmpMadScientist for being at the top of the game. You helped other techs as well, you influenced many! Job well done!!!
