Here in California you don't have to be able to see out of your rear view mirror as long as you have mirrors on both the right side and left side of the vehicle. Box trucks like U-Haul can't see out of the inside center rear view mirror.Ha, the Dodge never saw what hit him.
Literally.
How can someone drive when they can't see out the back window?
That should be illegal.
I suppose it could have been worse, but I'm sure it could have been avoided as well.
Sorry this bit of misfortune found you, Mitch.
Thanks brother I am glad it’s not any worse than it is.Wow
Glad to see you're ok, mostly.
Can happen anywhere, anytime.
Very happy to see it's not worse.
So true on that. Here in California you don't have to be able to see out of your rear view mirror as long as you have mirrors on both the right side and left side of the vehicle. Box trucks like U-Haul can't see out of the inside center rear view mirror.
I agreeOuch, man, on both your truck and your wrist. Sucks when stuff like that happens.
No lawyer, I am going to let the insurance company’s deal with all that till I have to bring my truck in.Well that sucks Mitch. Have you contacted a lawyer? Seems like they are on TV all the time.
Thanks brother I plan doing just that.Sorry sorry to hear about you getting rear ended. Cars can be fixed. Hopefully your wrist isn’t too bad. Take care.
This is the second time in a year I have been hit, glad it was only your car that was totaled.Glad you didn't get hurt worse. Getting rear ended is no fun. I got rear ended one night by a guy arguing with his wife over the cell phone. Didn't see that I was sitting at a red light. Totalled my '86 Jetta.
True on all accounts. Thanks brother5 years ago wife and I were stopped at a red light and one of those big truck ambulette's rear ended us , pushed us into the middle of a busy intersection!~ We just came from the hospital and I was like, I DON'T want to go back we just left there. All I can say now is all my injuries are manifesting themselves now! That part isn't fun at all. But depostions are over, a 100% at fault had to be admitted to in court while last week the first demands were made! I was the passenger and nothing is worth the injuries you get. The other thing is no matter how nice you try to keep something, something always seems to come along and take the wind out of ones sails. Happened in a heart beat too. I check the wife, look out my window and see a load of traffic coming my way. Get out and run to the ambulette driver and ask him to turn on every party light he's got n if he's ok n what just happened? That happened in NY.
Point is at least you had minimal damage to your body and the truck can be made good as new. Sorry that happened to you but your not at fault. Please watch that wrist and be well
So have I Chris so have IGlad you are okay!
I know this was traffic related, but there has been a lot on the news about people speeding since the virus had cleared the highways.
And I don't mean 70 or 80. The Highway Patrol has been giving out a lot of tickets in the 100 to 120 MPH range! I've had these fools
blow by me and I've also seen them using all 6 lanes to weave through light traffic at these crazy speeds...
Thanks RayGlad you are OK brother.
I thank you brotherDang, that sucks. Sorry it happened to you, Mitch.
As you say, it could have been far worse. Especially at highway speed.
Nothing to be done about the truck until insurance gets around to addressing it.
But I do hope the swelling by your wrist has subsided and there's no more trouble there.
