Current Rigs:

How bout these....
Very impressed. All look killer. I bet they all sound killer, too. Your VHT Sig-X would be a dream amp for me.

I got kind of the same question for you, too Mr guitarweasel:
First pic, and the 2 Marshall heads.
2204's or 2203's?
Year?
Class of power tubes?
Mods?

Details on the 2 Marshall heads in the middle, please?

The fawn tolexed head is a '78 JMP 50 watt Super Lead, and the black one underneath it is a '79 JMP 100 watt Super Lead in a Mojo box. the '79 has a complete set of Mullards from the 60s in it. It sounds killer.

Oh my... just got a "stiffy".

Are they both EL34's?

I've used Marshall's through most of my career, also a big fan of the 1987 50 watt, had a couple of those, a Bluesbreaker, a 1968 SLP 100 watt and a Major (worst amp I ever owned, for a Marshal that is)

The VHT and I just couldn't make friends.
The Splawn was great (I have sponsorship with them.) until it blew up.
The Soldano is a great amp, it's loaded with EL34's instead of the usual 6L6's.

For the venues I played, I always used two amps, wet and dry, only back the there were only two effects, an Echoplex and a Fender Reverb.

Nowadays, I'm back to using 2 Vox AC-30's or my Marshall JTM 30.

Yup, both have EL34s in them. The fawn 50 watt has JJs in it. The JTM 45 sitting on top of the 8x10 has Siemens EL34s, and Brimar and Amperex 12ax7s. The DST30 has Telefunken EL84s, along with Amperex EF86 and Mullard, Brimar, and RCA 12ax7 and 12at7 tubes. It nsils the Rory Gallagher/Taste sound with my '62 Strat.
