Do You Have a “Comfort Guitar”?

My stress reliever and main time waster is a usually this cigar box guitar.
It lives in my work shed & gets picked up and strummed multiple times a day.
It features two pairs of octave strings & one pair of unison strings, tuned D A D, diatonic fretting on a red oak neck, magnetic pickup, and open geared Grovers.
I always have one or more handy, in the work shed, in the house, on vacation.
I make em for sale, so the best ones stay with me a while.
This one speaks.

It's been a favorite for about a year and a half now, so it's starting to show signs of love and play wear.

The guitar I'm most comfortable with is Midnight Angel, my very first PRS. Still head over heels after more than 32 years together. This is the guitar I know best, the one I keep close at hand for whenever I feel inspired, the one I use to try out a new pedal or amp. Because I know exactly what to expect.

But if I need comforting, I'll pull out my old burst and play my heart out for awhile. Has consoled and revived me through times of loss, heartbreak, trauma, disappointment and illness more than any other. When I feel lost and down, some time with Amaterasu restores my spirit.
