I owe RVA & Thatbastarddon

BFT Gibson

Ambassador of Originality
Country flag
Simple investment of their time has helped my music

RVA- took the time to record a KLON CL demo.i had listened to clips over & over on web..his clip was done to show the nuance of the pedal at a nice level so you could hear it. Not a pedal guy but that pedal is always there ready to go..it is a jack of all trades ..a bump.boost-tone roll off or enhance..slight break...basically a quick access fixer all'
Also the JB video post right when i was watching JB one at the same time..the vids timing together ..broke me thru a month of fighting my self..the right timing with JB demonstating & actually saying his inability to use left hand much..it clicked..new level now..

BastardD..i should just send you a check...your encouraging me from that first thread i asked about recording at home.. "Can an Idiot learn pro tools" back in the summer.. have 15 completed songs in reaper...my gosh that is 15 studio ssesions i didnt have to pay for

big thanks to you 2 & to all the posts that help...from a joke to a pic of food or pets..or us all just hanging onto rock n roll dreams together as we age ....life sucks a lot at times..somehow this place is a refuge for this misfit

Awe shucks guys! I'm surprised that, thanks to my left handed nature, I am able to help to teach someone to open a paper bag...much less help people learn to record some of the things I've heard from you guys this year.
Ray has made some truly epic progress since the first clips he put up here!
BFT is a production machine, that just plows through the task at hand and devours info along the way!
Cado is opening the door, and making an entrance that shows he's ready to bring the noise too!
As I type this, in the studio, on the ancient Mac Mini that I set up to record(inspired by Ray:))...I'm trying to choose between the Beantown Boomstick that Ray made play so beautifully with a little(lot of) fretboard TLC, and the Swampland Merlot Burst that Adrian so nicely allowed me to adopt(thanks Adrian:cheers:), to play for a bit before crashing.
There are a bunch of us, here, that are helping each other in pretty cool ways...often! This makes me happy to take part in this shindig. I'm thankful to all of the people that share their wisdom, and creativity, around here!
Who knows!....maybe someday I'll even own a Godin!(y)

:iagree: :gotta-love::cheers:
I am lucky to be here.

It’s what cool about this place. We have all levels of talent here. Musical. Building. Repair. Modding. Electronics. What we don’t have is anyone looking down there nose at the lesser talented. There’s no cork sniffing. Just a group of folk hanging out and enjoying each other. Helping each other. Building each other. Awesome stuff.

Now for my unsolicited puppy photo. Apparently I bored her to sleep.

I too am grateful for this place.
Ray, Grant and Adrian have achieved what other forums have failed to accomplish.
It started out of a dislike for the bickering and trolling on another forum we were all part of.

I don't usually contribute much useful info as some do, but do echo IB's statement about the level of acceptance and lack of cork sniffing.
It's the thing that separates us from the other forums and binds us together as more of a family than JUST a guitar forum.

Keep up the good work, fellas!

BD.you are a gifted teacher....not many left that can get it through to people on all dif levels..soon as i saw your 2 guitars first day i joined(after i cracked up over you screen name) i was thinking oh crap..the grumpiest thread guy ever...no way... The way you explain & simplify to each of us at a level we need is a gift....
Kinda cool to me...as i work on these songs..a lot of you guys are in them...the lil tips..the way we all go at a subject from our own perspectives..yet don't fight & put one another down is a blessing. I don't get out anymore into the music world...no more stages..no more radio stuff...no more promoting...if i couldnt share the music ..i might of packed it in last few years...then here is a group of guys...i was on sites & came across most of ya on the other sites...WAV..you got all the good ones & gave them a comfortable home...

BD..it truly would be an honor to do a song with you...let you produce it from the minute i walk into your studio(after the 24 hour gear talk we would have.lol)

happy Sunday all..make some music..i hear something is going on in the sport world today...why cant Ozzy be the halftime show with Black sabbath...maybe Zakk does No more tears with them...The light go out & the Song Black Sabbath starts..oh yeah !! I might even watch the game closer then

I am happy that y'all are learning, sharing, enjoying and growing with TTR. This is exactly what Ray, Adrian and I wanted this place to be. For the most part it's been easy to keep this a happy place. There have been a few members that have decided that this is not the place for them, and some that we had decided that this was not the right place for them. I'm sorry to lose members, I'm sorry to have to ban members. However the bottom line is that in the end, we have a great community here. One that I hope will continue to grow and live on for many years. I have recently been researching some car forums that I used to be very active on. Now that those model of cars are no longer being produced, you can hear a pin drop there. Due to the fact that TTR is about music and not a specific instrument, manufacturer or style of music, I believe that The Tone Rooms will be relevant for many, many years to come.
