The neck is a 12~16" compound radius, the FR saddle radius is 12", so for the string heights to follow the neck radius properly (& carry on to the required radius at the bridge) the A & B saddles need to be raised some & the two E saddles need to be raised more. Shim packs are readily available (0.3mm thickness), or the correct thickness shims can easily be made from automotive feeler gauges. It's not a must do, but does make the guitar play a bit nicer. Before doing, if I didnt consciously make the effort, I'd find myself sometimes tripping up on the G string (fretting hand, up the high end of the board) during fast descending runs. The F3 locking nut was the correct 12" radius so didn't need anything. Cheers

I tried the Adrian Smith at a local mom-and-pop shop here, straight out of the box, and immediately noticed the high E diverged off of the fretboard around the 20th fret. The neck looked tight in the pocket, so I guess something was routed or mounted improperly. It was basically unplayable and I really wanted to try it out.

I distinctly pointed this out to them and the crappiest part about it is the shop guy just put it back in the box and it's still for sale today, a year later.
