If you like pets...

LOVE PETS--- in many cases more than humans---

We have turned our lives, home and acre over to them --- cats dogs pigs chickens ducks.......to many things to list out ---- its A ZOO --
some very old and needing special care some young and just getting started-- all welcome all happy all gets tons of love

This is the kind of snake I had.

It’s a black rat snake. It was a really cool snake. They can be feisty and will readily strike, at first. So, a little care is necessary to avoid a bite. But, they settle down fairly quickly if you handle them right.

They also take thawed frozen rats readily. Mine wasn’t a fussy eater. And, it never had issues shedding, either.

I wouldn’t mind having another, or it’s more colorful cousin, the corn snake.

But, I don’t have any of my herp gear, anymore. I’d have to start all over.

We have one of those in the yard by the RV ---- got two of the "peeps" last week---- moved the rest to snake proof brooder ---
we dont really mind him -- not like he is gonna take down a dog----
and he controls rats and other vermin

he bites me though---- he'll be a belt..........Ive told him so--- we have an agreement ---- of sorts

Wise of ya, Bro!

You have an agreement!

Years ago, when I was about fourteen, my step-dad (now deceased) took me to a friend of his family down in Tennessee, I believe. This guy had a tobacco farm and he had a HUGE bull snake. The bull snake is one of the largest, if not the most massive, non-venomous snakes in North America. I was able to see “his” snake atop a pile of wood chips. It was one of the largest snakes I had ever seen.

The tobacco farm owner had a similar “agreement” with that bull snake.

He left it alone; and it took care of rodent issues.

Totally organic, non-GMO pest control!
