Fender is Making a Tubeless Deluxe Reverb!

Modeling has come a long way, and some of the high end ones really do sound great. What nobody has been able to reproduce is the feel of a great tube amp running hot.

Even the Kempers don't have that organic magic, where you actually feel the amp working together with the guitar and your hands as one, a single living thing. You feel it through your fingertips.

Maybe someday soon modelers will be able nail that part of the tube mojo too. If an when that day does come, though, somehow I doubt it'll be Fender that does it.

these days i play whatever the job needs..but my digital thing is....i depend on very specific speakers as part of the main tone equation -hence-dif cabs for dif mid emphasis. Also use tube power as major source of tone vs (pre gain shape then the MV is a volume like a TV. The modeling nuetral speakers just sound dead to me..like a PA speaker or bass speaker..they are designed to not color sound at all but reproduce exactly what is coming at it. I can see a cover player digging an amp that can get dif sounds quickly on the fly. But if i am going in the studio..no way am i using what my kids can do without even playing music..strait into a computer with no gear.. Why not just take a laptop into a pa speaker,,why bother with an amp. Probably too old school..heard it done right for so many years..also when we hold shows if the pod guys don't have their global volume set even across the board ..they are a sound mans nightmare..

Marketing, honesty, and quality are unrelated. They have absolutely nothing to do with one another.

There are car commercials out where people react to how the cars/trucks look. They don't even drive it. Nothing about quality or longevity. They (Toyota) must think people are stupid.
