Just arrived

Military service on behalf of your country is to be honored. Attitudes and slogans about war can easily be taken may different ways, and are embroiled in politics. Our new friend is proud of his service, and I am thankful for it. I think there is room to gladly accept the Naval badge and still avoid the discussion of politics, although I could be wrong. In any event, this welcome thread is not the place to debate the fine points of where these 2 things meet. If you wish to freely express a real issue with it, PM me.

No mention of a single political faction--governmental lobby/lean -- or military body/organization at all
--- it also doesnt pander to a SPECIFIC deity could be the God of Aphrodite -- or Arthur Brown for that matter--
-- so its neither political nor religious --

"pisses some or all off" -- hardly --- seems not really even SOME -- certainly not all.!

Memorial Day

Thank you to the soldiers that gave their lives for this country. I know that they can't read this, but perhaps some of y'all had family that lost their lives. I don't agree with war, I would never ask anyone to go fight for me, but I do appreciate the fact that they did so without me having to...
