The reason I like the square ones is that it allows more real estate to show our avatar pic. I think most of us use the avatar as more than just a visual identifier. We use it to display some piece of gear. This impacts those who want to show off a square or rectangular object, like an album cover or an amplifier, the most..

But, my guess is that the shape of the avatar is not something Grant has any control over, so it's no biggie. Just something I noticed.

Over all, I do like the new style. There are just a few things to get used to.

There's quite a lot to like to this new look of the forum when using my smartphone. I haven't tried through the PC yet.

I like using emojis a lot. Inserting an emoji on my smartphone is really frustrating right now. Maybe it's just me... :confused:
 
I just noticed this:
This website is bookmarked on my smartphone. I'm automatically logged on when I access thru the bookmark. But when I'm already on the TTR website, if I hit the HOME button, I'm not logged on anymore.

Much easier to post the emojis and continue composing compared to my smartphone... (y)

The issue with staying logged on by hitting the HOME button continues, though... (n)
