The Muse I Adorn

Thanks Chas, and of course Bro Bastard.

Thanks too Chas for sending Robert your TS9............ I offered to send him mine plus a few other pedals to try to see if he could sort out that DSL. SO glad his trial with yours helped him.

Much appreciated offer, Chili...I was dead-set against pedals until I spent some time picking Tim Caswell's brain.

My dad was not any better. He had mom and I in one city and he worked 3 hour away coming home on weekends. He did this so he could have his girlfriend. Its a LONG twisted story. I found out after he died, from his brother, my uncle: that most of the stories he would tell me at the Sunday morning breakfast table were lies.

Not sure what my point is except, very few of us Mr Cleaver for a father. Yet we still grow up strong and succeed in life.
Maybe the point is that we all have our own stories of trauma that are not often talked about, and which have a deeper effect on us than the things we often discuss as "tragic" occurrences (property damage, taxes, transitory injuries). They shape the lense of our life. Thank you for sharing. There is solace in commonality - which I also think is the reason groups of people tend to flock to certain songs.

Yep, thanks for sharing and for your understanding from living a rough story yourself. I am sorry your dad behaved the way he did, Chas. I know I don't know you well, but from just being here, I can see your generous and thoughtful side. Like I always try to do in helping people like Robert when he needs possible solutions and critiques, you filled the spot from a closer location.

Some blindly follow bad examples, others think and do better.

My dad sadly followed in the 1st part of this statement as his example from my grandfather was passed down to him. Myself, I followed the 2nd part of seeking to do better as a result of the crappy manner my dad exemplified. I was lucky to break the negativity cycle and feel for anyone else who experiences BS treatment as a child during their formative years and often see no hope for better.

That is pretty insightful there. Thank you for knowing what I wanted to convey.

is that an RG652?? I have one with the trem....It's the best playing guitar I own, by far. I want to play my Gibson's because of the shorter scale length, but they just can't match the Ibanez.

Last night I had the rare moment of the house to myself, and a break from my chores. I broke out two guitars, two amps, and a bunch of toys. Sooo much fun....the next thing I knew it was late night. Time flies when having fun.

Nothing touches the Ibanez!!
