I really want to say “Thank you!” to Adrian @eSGEe for this addition to
the Beantown Boomstick Brigade!
A “new to me” Peavey T-45, in a seldom seen “Burgundy Burst”.
I haven’t decided, yet, on an affectation for it...maybe...”Buzz-Burst” to go with
The “Stoner Burst”.

This thing must have stopped at every day spa from Florida, to Massachusetts, for a rub...
Down. Let’s just say USPS had ample opportunity to spend some “quality time” with my bass.
Adrian shipped it out quickly, it left Florida quickly.....and it fell of the face of the earth for what seemed like an eternity....before spending two days traveling 85 miles across Massachusetts.

.......but I digress......

I had to hang it in a place of honor...

Yeah, I forgot to say....

It sounds great! It plays like butter! It is the same, but different, in comparison to the T-40. It does more of a beefy P Bass thing, where as the T-40 does more of a Jazz/Ric thing. They compliment each other well. Adrian shipped it with flat wound strings, so it feels different on the fretboard, but much the same overall neck feel...more mellow sound though.
I ran it through the Kustom first, for a clean comparison. Then I ran it through my Tiny Terror, in to a 1x15+tweeter cab. I experimented with dirtboxes in both scenarios. It really did well!
I think I have my basses covered now.:facepalm:(couldn’t resist)

I’m thankful for my time spent pretending to play bass.:wink:
It’s a great writing tool. Very helpful in guiding composition.
I don’t pretend to be any good...but I don’t “pretend” to enjoy playing bass either! I really do enjoy it almost as much as playing guitar, and singing.
I’m really glad that Adrian thought of me, and kept it at a humane price point, when he felt the need to push this along to a new home.:cheers:
 
Lovely collection of basses and amps! The burgundy burst is very nice, but that honeyburst one looks fandabbydoubledozy!

That would be the motivation the BC Rich didnt hurt that bad (its a Japo model not USA) but I needed space and I knew you liked the Merlot Burst from the miute I posted pics--I also KNEW it would sound KILLER through a KUSTOM (TBTH the T-45 missed the Kustom and I wanted her to have an old friend back )

Adrian is a pusher man.
He did the same thing to me, shows me a couple of the U.S. made Peaveys.
Lets me rub my junk on em and all, play em for a while, then he sets the hook and reels me in.
It's a conspiracy to get everyone playing U.S. made Peaveys.
He finds em for like 35 cents a piece. :eek:
Don't know how he does it but it must be a Ferengi kind of Peavey locating radar antenna in his junk.

That bookshelf is the result of decades of scientific acoustics research, and development.
It is a carefully, custom crafted bass trap, AND a scatter block dispersion/diffusion feature in my home studio. It is all carefully calibrated to address the acoustics problems inherent in any structure that has any parallel constructs.

Points taken sir! I will say that I have been a Peavey bass fan for many years. I just have not been playing much bass....until the last few years. My good old Washburn has been a great bass, and I still adore it thoroughly. I didn’t think that I was deserving of anything more, until I started playing more. I know that these Peavey basses are not some crazy-expensive-custom-killer-handmade by elven mystic bass lords, but they’re more than good enough for me.
