16 days waiting for this damn amp... Today was my day off, so I was hoping it'd come, but no, not even in the country yet, so doubt it'll come before next week (unless it passes customs tomorrow morning).
Very very close to going out and getting a new amp today because I want more than the THR10 has to offer..., but decided not to buy another amp until the other one has turned up, and I've played it for a while. There's a class 5 for $450, there's a new DSL1 head for $250, there's that Mesa for $750, I very very nearly just ordered up the VOX AC4 1x12... Hmmm...

Good question.
I want some cleanish (not pure clean) to breakup then a nice bluesy OD and perhaps some classic fuzzy rock (although I can introduce that via a pedal). So, maybe that'd be kinda pushing it on a DSL classic channel and into the lighter end on the ultra gain channel. Or, as I'm increasingly thinking a Class 5 or even a Marshall Origin 20 because it has all the sounds in there and a nice 10" speaker too.
I'm really liking these amps (Mr Cat has many...):
I have a solid state Marshall MG30 coming which has many of these sounds, but I'm not sure how convincing they will be - it's a very cheap amp (might be good though?).

Right now...I’m trying decaf Starbucks Cafe Verona. It’s not too bad, but I’d like a little bolder flavor.

Wait for your amp! I had a AC4 & matching 1X12 cab. Decent but I had the DSL50 at the same time so it got sold. I would do a Ibanez TSA15 over the AC4 Combo or head/cab. I have had all the variations of the AC4.16 days waiting for this damn amp... Good to hear you are over it. My wife and oldest kid have been sick with a really heavy cold all week, but are better as of yesterday. Me and my youngest are starting to feel it now, just in time for the Easter holidays. We have the whole week off, and it would be just typical if it is screwed up by being sick. The weather is awesome, our new back garden terrace is done, we have bought some new plants for the garden and have four rose bushes that need replanting. There is no effing way I am willing to get sick right now!

I remember when they used to sell caffeine pills at the chemist’s here. Very popular stuff among students towards the end of the term when exams were coming up. I never got into them, though. But I absolutely love coffee. I'd definitely give up beer before I quit coffee.
I see y'all are talking about your taxes. How does your system work in the US? I guess (like her) whoever pays your wages/salaries also gives the taxman his share of your pay? And then each year you need to fill in your returns and the man figures out how much you owe or get back based on what you have actually earned? Since I have my own business (in addition to working at the brewery), the money owed or whatever I get back is not due until September. People who don't have their own businesses get their money in April. I never get anything back though. I have to pay taxes in advance four times a year based on what I make through my business, and I pay based on what I stipulate my earnings will be each year. I always set an amount that is low, just to make sure I don't have to pay more than I can actually manage to even if the business fails badly. Then I set money aside from my earnings to cover what I owe each year. Last year I earned a bit less than I really expected, which means I will probably have a nice bit of cash left over after I pay what I owe. This way, at least I don't loose whatever tiny interest my bank pays on my money.
