While i am looking at guitars here

Yeah, I can't wait to get home Friday. I plan of spending at least on hour or two both Saturday and Sunday with a nice beverage on the beach to enjoy the salt air. It's a nice view of Salem/Beverly Harbor, Baker's Island, and Marblehead Neck. I could sit there all day, and sometimes do.

Very cool Don. Got all of my reels restrung today and installed another storage hatch in the yak. Unfortunately it looks like quite a few storms headed our way though. We just got hammered with a big one. Heavy thunder and lightning and nickel size hail.
The weather will give-way at some point! I’m happy for you gearing up for what has become one of my favorite activities! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I really like it on the North Shore. When I come up over the hill getting off the highway, I can feel the drop in temperature in the summer and smell the salt air. It's a nice perk of how expensive it is to live there. In the winter, it's the opposite, and it's a bit warmer thanks to the ocean.

I'm a beach bum at heart. I'm about an hour and a half from the Jersey Shore. I like to spend as much time there as I can during the summer. It's all board shorts and tie dyes. I've got a collection of eclectic rock and guitar tie dyes.

I had a girl friend when I was in my teens. Her aunt had a place 1 block off the beach. I partly kept her for the convenience.

My lawn is greening up and it is nice to not get hit with a below freezing smack when taking the dogs out first thing in am.
Wakes me up though, especially the cold deck on bare feet.

I don't have a summer house or cottage, but we're still preparing for warmer weather to arrive. Fixing the terrace in the back garden, laying down some new wooden decking instead of the old concrete and slabs. We hacked up all the old concerte and removed the slabs ourselves, but hired some builders to build the frame and do the decking and masonry work. The guy who runs the building company lives right down the street and does really nice work, we've hired them for several other jobs before. I can't wait to see the finished result. I'm guessing they will be finished in a little over a week. The guy in charge said it was ok for us to help out, so we're saving a bit of money on the hours, at least. I'm going to enjoy the hell out of this space when summer comes.

This is how it looked after I was finished hacking away all the concrete:

And this is how it looks (from inside) right now:

Nice cottage @Session 5 ; great place to stash your sanity and go find it again.

At home, no scenery but I rehabbed the deck in 2014; decking tearoff and some framing modifications, new steps and railings.
Milo watches for pigs on the wing.

I built that picinic table around 1990 lol.
shed needs new doors and a few roof shingle tabs replaced.
Now that I think of it I built that shed in 1996.
