What do you choose? Anything over that I will be going after a DSL50. The green channel is what I want honestly. I don't want a combo as I have a 2x12 cab and 2 - 1x12 cabs. New or Used & no more than 50w as that is what my attenuator handles unless it has an amazing master volume.
 
I had a OR15H I bought from someone here. Nice amp but I like my TSA more.

eSGEe it's 9+ hours away, it's been modded & a combo. If I go combo I may as well buy a DSL40!

Nobody ever listens to me on this account, but the Randall does an amazing crunch/OD/driven sound with the gain set from 11 O'clock to 2 O'clock that rivals the likes of Marshall and Mesa, imho.

They do one of these too which you might get second hand for under $500:

Obviously, most/all of the demos are metalheads, but it does blues, punk, rock, ++ really well. Here's a video (from 12:45 in the video are more of your rock sounds that I like):


Once I'm back in the UK, living in a house, I'm gonna be geeting meself an RD amp. I had the RD1 combo and really liked it.

AI have had a Randall & the Tweaker has been in my thoughts for a while until I was going to trade my JCM800 for an Egnator head, I want to say it was the 65 but don't remember now, basically we swapped for a weekend and I was so happy to get the JCM back & he was happy to get his Egg back. Not sure it's for me. I hear the Tweaker is different but not sure. I sent eSGEe the little Randall 5w which sounded great to me but the amp cab was broke & I had 5 amps at the time. It had no clean but I am glad you brought them up, I am looking at those to now.

eSGEe I really am thinking about taking a Mesa dive. It's one that has eluded my hands and some people say it will be the end all of your amp searches.
 
Im ruined for everything else---

I sold my VOX -- my panama and my Vox bass Ba50 are on the auction block as we speak.....
-- the mesa does everything I ever need times 20 --

The 20w Randall has a clean channel.

My 1w and your 5w certainly don't have any clean headroom at all...

Now, as a thought from leftfield, not a head, but:

Probably based on the Ironheart 15w head which might be worth a listen, within your budget for sure, and a second hand 60w head too:

Something I have seen and interested me is the Bogner Alchemist?. I have seen the Combo's for sale in the $500 range.

The China made Bogner is junk they don't last one year. The Russians or former eastern block country's are killing pacific rim country's now
and I love it.

Right but I just went with his video's and he plugs the DSL20 in to the 4x12 cab in the Plexi video & I think he is cool dude. Would have a beer with him any day and blow my ears out with his amps! I also don't think the speaker in the stock DSL combo in the 1st video is that great but it still didn't sound bad to me. I haven't got to the Peavey vids yet, ended up watching a 3 part Guitarist Mag/That Pedal Show thingy and turned my gear on......after 5 minutes of sitting in stand by my power light came on for the TSA30!!! So I have been melting my face with my new Solo RAT & new Fuzz pedal thru my whole rig & SG!!!!

So since I have never had dying tubes or had any real issues with a tube amp before....is that a sign of dying tubes or am I just hoping it's that for any easy cheaper fix?
 
Has anyone here tried one of those Bugera Infinium amps posted above? I'm dying to know if they are worth a crap...
