Guitar Pass Around Will Commence This Week...

Great report! And I have no problem with you doing what ever need done to the pickups! Feel free to play it some more. I'm not sure who will be next...

The cracks were there...maybe happened on the way from Florida to California in a cardboard box...

That is great to hear! Maybe that scale length helps?
The 27" scale length really does change how the strings give up the goods. Not better or worse, but just different.

Remember, that I have already lowered the action to a more reasonable playing setup when tuned to E standard. Lowering the tuning to C# standard obviously made the strings a bit floppier. And some slight buzzing was introduced at the low E and A string at the first few frets, but it never got annoying enough for me to make any more adjustments. Anyways, it's back to E standard.

If this were my guitar:
1: I would try to address some of the sharp fret ends that I can feel at certain frets. I don't feel the sharpness when I'm playing. Only when I'm purposely running my thumb and index up and down the neck's sides for quality purposes.

2: Tidy up the wiring to my anal standards. Not change or alter, but make it more pretty!

3: Adding generous amounts of shielding in the control cavity.

@Sp8ctre : Who's next?
