The Blues

Not even Bonnie Raitt for me.

If I want real, it is tough to beat Howlin' Wolf, or Sonny Boy, or John Lee.

Junior Kimbrough was as real as it gets. Proof that blues tones do NOT come from expensive custom shop guitars. Bolt neck Memphis brand is the real tone. :p

Junior Kimbrough isn't even blues to me, not in the traditional sense. His droning music is much more primal and direct, and doesn't conform to any standard format. Generally blues bores me stupid but I can listen to Junior all day.

R.I.P.

To be fair though, Junior did use a bit of Gibson hardware over the years, along with the less expensive stuff
