'Cause I'm leaving on a jet plane, don't know when I'll be back again

Perhaps they should have used pink elephants?

I ran across this while researching chem trail videos

The first issue is a pixelation blur caused by video recording a moving object vs. a stationary object. Okay, I know the moon orbits the earth at a much higher speed than an airplane flies. But, it is also 240,000 miles away. So, over a period of seconds it appears as stationary, relative to the airplane.

The second thing in the video is an example of condensation clouds. It’s a result of the Bernoulli effect. Visible condensation clouds are highly dependent on the temperature, humidity, and atmospheric pressure of the air through which the aircraft passes. When they occur they can be very slight to quite dramatic.

Here are several cool images of condensation clouds:

I gots another airplane video for y'all

There really is no mystery here.

When the aircraft is on one side of the light source (the sun) relative to the viewer, the shadow will be cast behind the plane. As it passes to the other side of the light source, the shadow will be cast in front of the plane:

You can demonstrate the same thing to yourself.

Put a white sheet of paper on your desk. Now, turn on the light on your cell phone and shine it down on the center of the paper. Next, pass a pencil underneath the light, from one side of the paper to the other. As you move the pencil, the shadow that is cast on the paper will transition from one side of the pencil to the other side.

Pretty simple, actually.

NO, NO, NO!!! Clearly, it is the New World Order, the Deep State and the Illuminati, and, and... Do not let logic and reason come in the way of a good conspiracy.

Very cool optical phenomena, though. I understand why people find them strange. What I don’t understand is (like with UFOs) why people do not look for natural causes and instead jump to conspiratory conclusions.

I used to work with a guy that referred to police officers as "pigs." We were on a subject once and he contradicted me and said "when pigs fly." I told him that pigs do fly and he told me know way! I told yes pigs do fly and I'd be willing to bet on it. He then said "OK, Ill bet my paycheck against your paycheck." I agreed and we shook hands. Then I pointed up to the sky above where a police helicopter was flying above our heads. As I was pointing up to the helicopter I said "See, pigs fly." He was not happy that I did indeed win the bet, but he never paid up.

That's a good one...

My borther-in-law pilots 767's and 777's for a living, major international carrier whose name begins with "U". Send me your questions and I will get them answered definitively by a guy that does it every day.

Can he get a picture of one of the planes with an elephant on the wing?

I’m not talking a lot of elephants...just one will be fine!

That’s no good. We all know he’s probably a shill for the “gubment” and is hiding the fact that the public is being misled about hovering airliners!

In all seriousness, as a Mileage Plus member, let your brother-in-law know I’ve always been satisfied with the service I’ve gotten from the Big U.

A few years back, I considered going for a commercial pilot's license, as I thought it would be cool to fly cargo for FedEx or UPS.
