I am sure most of you know I bought this SG and was very happy with it and hoped to keep forever. It is in great shape for a 1976 and sounds amazing. However, I need to raise some fast cash to pay a bill by Oct 29 or else lose my house.

Anyway, Here she is and I guess, I am needing to take offers76 SG Frets.jpg 76 STd SG.jpg . It comes with Original case and Tarback Pups and Original Pots and electronics. Thanks

Wow... Beautiful SG.

I'm so sorry to hear that you're in a serious financial crunch.

A little research shows that your SG should be a fast sale at $2,000. Worth at least $2500 if you can hold out.

Good luck, Chili... :fingersx:

Thanks Sysco, yup. I sadly found a lost FINAL Notice and my house already went to Tax sale June 29.

SO not only do I owe last year's tax but they want this year's too or else I lose the house. Worst part is my house is paid for and I just lost the Tax bills in a pile of old mail I just found Friday.

Thanks Chris. Yup a friend's dad lent me 2k, my girlfriend another $1150, and I came up with the other $1350 now I just have to work to pay em back. Nothing like buying myself some time to operate.

My nerves were shot up until I walked up to that Cashier's window with those 45 one hundred dollar bills. Then I fell asleep in the passenger seat of my girlfriend's car as she headed toward home.

That's a great story to go along with your tale of the misplaced tax bill!

Hope you got to keep some guitars...

When my wife was killed this year she gave me five houses I was freaking out on the property tax. My father in law informed me there was no property tax on the said property's
I went to the tax assessors office if look's could kill.

Thanks. Will look into that, plexi.
Clarify the" if looks could kill?" You mean you got informed there was tax on them and there really wasn't, so you were in a state of displeasure as you went to the tax assessors?

Thanks again for that link, plexi.

If I understand right, if the Alloidal process is completed, then short of eminent domain, the gov't can't take or sell the property to anyone else for any reason, including failure to pay a tax?

"An allodial title is used to distinguish absolute ownership of land, buildings, and natural things (trees, etc.) on a piece of property. Allodial titles are inalienable and cannot be taken away by any operation of law for any reason.

The concept of allodial title is what many jurisdictions in the United States refer to as “fee simple” ownership. To get fee simple ownership of a piece of property, the property deed has to be in your name. Keep in mind that the conditions under which the government can compel the sale of privately owned real property for public necessity are established by eminent domain laws of either the federal or state governments, respectively. This is why the United States refers to the “fee simple,” ownership.

In order to obtain an allodial title, that property must be free of liens, mortgages, encumbrances, and any tax obligations."
