Boss DS-1 New In Box

Boss is a great bargain. It baffles me that I have never owned one, except for a noise gate that I returned in a day (it was in my zoom multi, unbeknownst to me at the time of purchase).

All he’s gotta give me is twenty-five smackeroos (plus shipping) and I’ll take it off his hands for him.

Not that I really need it; I already have one, but it’s been modded.

Ha ha… That's some important info you left out.

I have a MIJ DS-1. 12 years ago, I had Keeley Electronics do a nice mod to it. Don't know if the mod F'd-up the value of my old DS-1. I think mine was made in 1980. I need to re-research that data and figure out the actual production year, and what a Keeley mod might have done to the value.

Value? In my mind ANY mod done to a DS-1 could only increase it's value!

I don't know how much better the early MIJ DS-1s were, but mine is a Taiwanese model. In stock form, it nails "Angry-Hornets-In-A-Can" metal. After mods, it gets great "Toyota-Celica-With-A-Blown-Exhaust" metal.
 
Confirmed mine was made in April 1980. Your buddy's DS-1 is a bit later. The serial number is inside the battery compartment to the right of the battery... Do you have access to this?

The pedal also appears to be in excellent condition, and with box.... I say $125 to $175
 
please note the 2 shown....the one in post one looks like the "new" version with black knob-- NOT the original MIJ.
