-- many years ago (indulge me) I had a couple low level guitars-- -and an amp that my wife found in a pile of rubble near the street at a house around the corner that had been evicted--- Peavey 15 Rage -- I rebuilt it (it still worked) and from those 3 items came a plan------buy cheap broken unloved guitars---and amps-- repair -- replace-- repaint-- tweak tittle fix and make better---- SELL for more $$$ than you have in and continue this FLIPPERTASTIC journey with the goal of acquiring several GOOD vintage guitars---I otherwise would NEVER spend the $$$ on...........being a notorious and world renowned cheap bastard---

Today -- Gents--(and Lasses) the journey has reached EPIC proportions--- today was the day --- the SUPER BOWL of FLIPPERTATION--- (well for me)

A MASS of gear I had horded and acquired over the years was in the balance------- for the one-- the TRUE ONE that started it all...........that RULES them all-- that is the "ground zero" of all "ROCK" guitars (in my mind) ---

The object of my desire was at Jimmys Vintage Music-- a VERY NICE guitar shop run by Jimmy-- (shameless plug here)
Jimmy's Vintage Music – Jimmy's Vintage Music
PLease visit his shop often and with cash in hand!!!! really good vitnage stuff there!

Great place I have frequented much in my travels around central Swampneckistan-- I have purchased a couple pedals --- a MUCH LOVED SG Clone----
jr1.jpg

And several other things as well from there-- great folks--- I highly recommend stopping in for a noodle or three.

---the last visit -- I noticed a lovely --- 1970 LP Recording guitar--- an object of such beauty I wanted to posses it--- not to mention I have always (ALWAYS) wanted one as long as I can recall--

I decided -- I would prefer to have a couple good axes----- and not so many decent ones--- so --- I came home did an inventory --made a list--- and presented an offer to the proprietor---

After a couple phone calls and some emails--- it was agreed upon-- and literally a CAR LOAD of gear
Im not exaggerating-----------a SUBARU WAGON to be exact-- load of gear----
bye.jpg

That I had amassed over the years-- but truly didnt really NEEED-- nor have the time to properly "flip" or care for---was taken to Mr. Jimmy-- and traded....

for one--- lovely--- exquisite example of a 1970 Les Paul Recording guitar ---
Complete with the MUCH hated Harmonica bridge-- -yellowed logos and and the feel ----of VELVET!

My advice...Get a hardshell or flight case IMMEDIATELY. Then, just Play, Play, Play...as often and as much as you can. If you can't hook up with a band, jam to videos and backing tracks. The gear quest is over. You have what you have always sought. Get a truly GREAT and versatile amplifier of your choice and play the hell out of it and enjoy!!!

Congrats on the dream come true!
I can’t believe that I actually passed one of these up over a decade ago...picked it up, and just didn’t click with it...probably would have been fine with a set up....oh well...

I’m happy for you! Good luck sir! You have amassed a fine collection of kit!
